Isabella Cabrera | Houston, Texas Eyes Sewn Shut

Eyes Sewn Shut is inspired the story of Coraline. This story profoundly impacted many in my generation, evoking a wide range of emotions from wonder to fear. My goal is to capture and translate these feelings into my collection and reimagining Coraline as a ballet production, blending elements of fashion and performance. Eyes Sewn Shut features eight key characters from the book, each transformed into a distinct ballet-inspired costume. Through intricate designs and thoughtful details, I am bringing these beloved characters to life on the stage, merging the enchanting and eerie essence of Coraline’s world with the elegance of ballet. I began Eyes Sewn Shut with the goal of bridging my childhood with my adult life. In the future, I aspire to create costumes for ballet productions.

Lydia Gilman | China, Maine The Girls

The Girls collection is influenced by nods to historical references, such as the Regency Era & Marie Antoinette’s looks from the French Revolution. Additionally, each garment is inspired & dedicated to a woman in my personal life who has impacted my taste, styling, and views of fashion. Each look was created using vintage fabrications, trims, and silhouettes combined with modern day ideas to create an intricate fusion of vintage & modern fashion. The Girls creates a fun atmosphere appreciating the aspects of the women who are influential in our lives and nostalgic eras from long ago.

/omore/fashion-show/daniela-gonzalez.jpg
Daniela Gonzalez | Gallatin, Tennessee | Nuestra Señora

Nuestra Señora is a tribute to my childhood, growing up as a Mexican American in the south. I pull conceptual inspiration from Mexican folklore, traditional gothic churches, and the sometimes-suffocating feeling of small-town living. I want to create an aura of mystery and unsettling femininity around the wearer. Catholic imagery embroidered on pieces, maximalist layering and embellishments, feminine silhouettes, and references to the “southern gothic” subculture will all come together to contribute to this mood. Nuestra Señora balances the beauty of Mexican culture with the uncanniness of southern gothic aesthetics to offer the ultimate expression of dark femininity.

Laura Finley Hasenbank | Franklin, Tennessee Starboard

Starboard is inspired by nostalgic childhood summers spent at my grandparents' home on Maine's Mid-coast. The collection blends the essence of late July sailing, the vibrant hydrangeas in my grandmother's garden, the deep blues of the Atlantic, and the timeless sophistication of New England. The collection evokes a sense of tranquility, nostalgia, and classic elegance through soft blues, butter yellows, and creamy whites. With natural fibers like cotton, silk, and linen, along with design details such as full skirts, deep hems, pleats, and hand-sewn buttons, Starboard is for the modern woman who embraces femininity, timeless style, and coastal elegance.

Influences range from vintage lingerie to French Impressionism, evoking themes of purity and growth. Using soft hues, vintage lace, silk-organza, and intricate details, designs incorporate angel wings, veils, and floral accents. This collection is for bold, confident women who want to shine on stage and the red carpet. More than fashion, it is wearable art that tells a story of evolution and empowerment.

/omore/fashion-show/lauren-kelley.jpg
Lauren Kelley | Austin, Texas Reverie

Reverie is inspired by the film Call Me by Your Name, exploring the question, “Is it better to speak or to die?”. It captures the essence of unspoken desires and the impact of unexpressed love, inspired by a passionate, fleeting romance in Northern Italy. Influenced by Vivienne Westwood's dramatic styles and Padmé Amidala's regal looks, the designs use pearls, taffetas, and organza to symbolize the beauty and fragility of love. Proposed for celebrities who appreciate high-end fashion and emotional storytelling, the collection conveys the intense emotions of a timeless romance.

/omore/fashion-show/jey-maroney.jpg
Jey Maroney | Brookings, South Dakota I Am My Mother's Daughter

I Am My Mother’s Daughter is centered around the paths traveled by the women in my family:  my mother, grandmothers, and great-grandmothers. Incorporating the craft techniques I was taught by them; this collection is a true labor of love to celebrate the women who shaped me and my creative pursuits. I spent the past summer scanning the archives of my family photos, which gave me the idea of creating a collection around what was worn in the past and making it modern. To honor the crafts that I learned from the women who came before me, I incorporated cross-stitch and Swedish weaving to add a more personal and textural element to the looks that celebrate the styles of the past.

Emma Parkinson | Franklin, Tennessee In Remembrance

In Remembrance is an evening wear collection inspired by the Baroque, Rococo, and Romantic period from a modern perspective. The collection reminds consumers of a time before fast fashion; a time when quality and craftsmanship held more value than it does today. To convey this story, the collection portrays a moody and romantic atmosphere while highlighting the importance of high-quality fabrics. Each garment is inspired from historical silhouettes with grommets, lacing, and pearl jewelry bringing the collection together. /omore/fashion-show/sophia-ramacciotti.jpg
Sophia Ramacciotti Los Gatos, California PRIMA FIORE

PRIMA FIORE takes you through a journey of overcoming obstacles and blooming into the person you are meant to be. I was inspired by my favorite painting, Sandro Botticelli’s “Primavera” which depicts a celebration of the coming of spring and the banishment of winter. A striking aspect of this painting is although a celebration was happening, there is imagery of the cold being pushed away, displaying the ushering in of a new era. Obstacles and big changes were a big part of my life growing up and there were days where it felt like the eternal winter was never going to end. However, despite the cold and the darkness, a flower will still bloom.

Callie Reeder Corbin, Kentucky Rainbow Hallucinations at the Flea Market

Rainbow Hallucinations at the Flea Market is an exploration into the uncharted regions of my mind. Images derived from the wallpaper of my brain, the desire to break the chains of conventionality, and a love for things that make no sense united to createRainbow Hallucinations at the Flea Market. This collection was about listening to the voice of six-year-old me and bringing the magic in her mind to life. I believe expression is one of the most beautiful, freeing acts there is in this world. Rainbow Hallucinations at the Flea Market is a true expression of my soul and all the weird places my beautiful brain went on this journey.

/omore/fashion-show/laila-travillion.jpg
Laila Travillion Collierville, Tennessee Une Fleur

Une Fleur explores the mind of an artist, merging my love for painting and fashion. Inspired by watercolor, I experimented with fabric to mimic its transparency, granulation, and fluidity using silk, organza, and charmeuse. Featuring hand-painted fabric, and 3D abstract elements, to further reflect watercolor’s unpredictable nature. The lineup progresses from a blank canvas to a grand, mixed-media masterpiece, symbolizing the artistic journey from the first paint strokes to the last finishing touches. Featuring, embroidery, and 3D elements, the collection invites art enthusiasts and fashion lovers to experience the beauty of the creative process by bridging visual art and avant-garde fashion in a transformative way.

Paige White Lucas, Texas Shiloh

Shiloh is a western-inspired collection rooted in my Texas upbringing, symbolizing peace and abundance. The rolling Hill Country, tranquil rivers, and my creative family have shaped my love for bohemian western fashion. Earthy jewel tones and floral patterns reflect my bond with nature. Silhouettes blend English equestrian and Texas influences, with form-fitting bodices and flared skirts or pants. Suede, cotton, upholstery fabrics from my mother who is an interior designer, and chiffon create a balance of structure and softness, with braided details adding texture. Designed for bold, creative individuals, my collection celebrates the vibrant spirit of my home and heritage.

Juniors

Students demonstrate their ability to research, design and develop creative clothing solutions for needs not currently being met by the apparel industry.

Whimsy & Wonder is inspired by the enchanting world of classic children's storybooks and fairytales, with influences from Disney films like Sleeping Beauty and Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, as well as beloved tales like The Velveteen Rabbit. Drawing from my own childhood memories, the collection celebrates the idea that every child should be free to live their dreams and express their imagination through clothing. Using vibrant colors, soft, breathable fabrics, and voluminous silhouettes, the designs combine comfort with whimsy. These pieces are crafted for daily wear, designed to empower children to be whoever they want to be, without restriction or discomfort. .

Expecting More is a maternity collection designed for young, expectant mothers who are seeking comfort, style, affordability, and versatility. Inspired by my experiences babysitting and nannying, and the struggles of my sister finding fashionable maternity wear, I created a line that caters to women who want to express themselves, stick to a budget, and feel comfortable throughout pregnancy. The collection features matching sets or one-piece looks for effortless coordination, with pieces that mix and match seamlessly. The garments can be worn pre and postpartum, offering a solution for moms needing an affordable, stylish wardrobe for every stage of pregnancy.

Body Language is a collection meant to question and subvert gender norms through clothing design. For transgender and genderqueer individuals, it is difficult or impossible to find properly fitting clothing that reflects their inner selves. But when given freedom for authenticity, trans and queer individuals has an unparallelled capacity for joy. Gender Euphoria is the term for this beautiful, radical, authentic joy. By using sturdy textiles such as denim and wool suiting, I use design principles and creative construction techniques to change the silhouette of a human body.

Free Bird explores the emotional toll of self-comparison and the journey to self-acceptance. Through dark yet hopeful storytelling, the collection embodies the cycle of distortion, doubt, and rebirth. Textures like faux leather, lace, and feathered tulle, along with shattered glass and raw details, reflect fractured self-perception. Muted tones of black, gray, and brown contrast with bold reds to highlight struggle and transformation. Each look moves from entrapment to liberation, culminating in Free Bird, a symbol of self-discovery and renewal. This collection speaks to those lost in self-doubt, offering a visual narrative of breaking free and embracing authenticity.

Cinematic Curves is a line designed for curvy petite women inspired by the old Hollywood era of style. This line solves fit, style, and length problems faced by the “In-Between” market of women using vertical and elongating lines, wide necklines, and A-line silhouettes. The objective is to provide well-tailored and flattering clothes for curvy petite women to challenge the idea of body type trends and create a space for the average woman within the industry. My collection celebrates the timelessness of classic designs and the beauty of simplicity and color blocking.

Blossom is a colorful collection that serves nursing mothers and symbolizes the transformative journey as women enter motherhood. The capsule represents new life through bright fabrics, vibrant African prints, and dramatic silhouettes. These prints were introduced to me through a kind stranger who sent me a care package full of fabrics and supplies. To me, the use of African prints represent community as a homage to the stranger who saw my potential as a young designer.  Blossom introduces new styles into a market that has long seen dated, basic silhouettes as its only options.
