What is the FAFSA?
The is the official form that families use to apply for college financial assistance from the federal government. The U.S. Department of Education uses a family's FAFSA information to determine a student's eligibility for any institutional need-based scholarships or grants, as well as other federal and state (for Tennessee residents) financial aid opportunities. Regardless of how much income a family earns, we encourage every student to complete the FAFSA each year. Once your FAFSA is received by Belmont’s Office of Student Financial Services, we will create a financial aid award that could include scholarships, grants, loans and Federal Work Study depending on eligibility.
